Arson attack in Eastbourne town centre

A fire in Eastbourne town centre last night is being investigated as an arson attack.

Emergency services rushed to the blaze at a block of flats in Pevensey Road at about 2am on Thursday morning (October 22).

Extensive damage was caused to the outside of the building, said police, and a resident was treated for smoke inhalation.
