Police arrest second man over £10million cocaine haul at Newhaven Ferry Port

National Crime Agency (NCA) officers have arrested a second man in connection with cocaine worth £10million seized at Newhaven ferry port.

The 43-year-old was detained on suspicion of conspiring to import class a drugs at an address in Ashley Road, Ryde, Isle of Wight, on Sunday (March 29), the NCA said, in an operation supported by Hampshire Police.

He was questioned by NCA investigators before being bailed pending further enquiries, it confirmed.

His arrest follows the discovery of the class A drugs in the early hours of November 23, last year.
