CONSERVATIVE MPs in the Gazette area have paid tributes to Baroness Margaret Thatcher, following her death today (Monday, April 8).

Bognor Regis and Littlehampton MP Nick Gibb said: “Baroness Thatcher, as Prime Minister of our country for 11 years, rescued Britain from economic decline, conquered the inflation that had destroyed the savings and pensions of a generation and restored the ability of people to establish and run successful businesses.

“Margaret Thatcher’s inspirational leadership re-established Britain’s confidence as a nation and transformed our standing in the world. We all owe her a huge debt of gratitude for her strength and courage.”
