Sussex Police said at 5.16pm yesterday (March 5), police received a report of an overturned car on the A272 Cowfold Road, Bolney. Emergency services attended and, with the assistance of members of the public, a woman was removed from the grey Hyundai she was driving. She was left in the care of the ambulance service, police said. No other vehicles or individuals were involved. West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service sent two fire engines were sent from Haywards Heath and Burgess Hill, and a heavy rescue unit from Crawley that cut open the car. The A272 was closed during the rescue operation.
