The life of Hood

The Witty And The Tender Hood offers a programme of words and music about the life and work of poet Thomas Hood at St Mary’s House, Bramber, on Saturday, June 4 at 7.30pm.

House administrator Alan Durden said: “St Mary’s House, Bramber, hosts a welcome revival of Peter Thorogood’s highly-acclaimed presentation, in words and music, of the life and work of the popular Victorian poet, Thomas Hood.

“This fascinating and informative account of the ups and downs of Hood’s turbulent life includes favourite poems read by actors Gwyneth
