In plans submitted to Wealden District Council, 10 The Corner House of St Wilfrid’s Green in Hailsham could change its use from a residential house to an adult care home run by PJL Healthcare.
According to the plans, the three-bed detached property sits on the corner plot of a cul-de-sac with five other properties. The house has a garage, woodshed, summer house and parking for several cars.

Hide AdPlans say the proposed use for the house would be to care for three young adults who are currently at a residential home in Mayfield. They have learning disabilities, autism and associated health conditions and they’ve lived together the last eight years.
Staff would be on site day and night to care for them but there is ‘adequate parking’ to support this, the plans say.
The documents say shift times mean there would be no anti-social driving and ‘the residents sleep well and do not have challenging behaviour that would impact on any neighbours’.
A lawful development certificate is required from Wealden District Council for the plans to go ahead.
