Gill was put forward by Sarah for 25 years of dedication in the industry.

Sarah said: “Gill is simply a hard-worker. She lives and breaths the nursery, she injects her passion, drive and determination into getting the best out of every child.

She is a true inspiration to other practitioners, parents and children, and her passion for education is obvious to all those who meet her.”

She added: “She is heart of the nursery, and without her it would not be the same.

“She therefore deserves recognition of the hand work and long-standing commitment to education via the lifetime achievement award.”

The nursery opened in 1990, catering for a small handful of children.

Now, it has grown to look after 24 children at a time.
