Bell for Gambian school
Charters Ancaster has supported the Don McMarth school for a number of years, raising funds for building work and sponsoring two children, so when the request came in for a bell to replace their broken one, the children at Charters Ancaster started asking everyone if they had a bell.
An old handbell was found, a little dusty, but after a quick clean is now on its way to the Gambia.

Hide AdDaisy Chitty, seven years old, said: "It's amazing to think that our bell will travel all that way and be used to tell the children in a school in Africa that it is playtime."
Alexandra Cheeseman, who is eight, added: "I like helping children in another country because they probably do not have as many facilities as we do. "
