Burgess Hill primary school '˜delighted' after positive Ofsted report
London Meed Primary School in Chanctonbury Road had a monitoring visit from Sir Robin Bosher, who has until recently been Ofsted’s regional director.
In his report, he noted improvements to teaching and learning at the school and acknowledged the determination shown by the headteacher, staff and governors.

Headteacher Candida Reece told the Middy: “I was delighted that Sir Robin took such a close look at our school.
“He spent time interviewing staff, governors and children, all classes in the school were visited, along with all play-spaces and the hall at lunchtime.
“Children were, as always, courteous and helpful to our visitor and our teaching staff talked very positively about training provided for them.

“As far as the children were concerned, it was just another day of learning.”
The Ofsted report, published this week, stated that senior leaders and governors were taking effective action to tackle the areas requiring improvement.
It also said the school should take further action to improve the quality of assessment across all key stages so that teachers and leaders identify and support effectively those pupils who start to fall behind and intervene quickly to help them to improve their learning.
