Check your heart health
National Heart Month, run by the British Heart Foundation, aims to raise awareness of heart and circulatory diseases – and a free NHS health check can help to identify your risk of developing these problems.
Most adults aged between 40 and 74 are entitled to a free health check, which are available across the county at participating GP surgeries, pharmacies and community clinics.

West Sussex County Council Cabinet Member for Community Wellbeing Christine Field said: “It is National Heart Month, and this provides a timely reminder that we can all take action to improve our heart health.
“Having a health check is a chance to reassess your lifestyle and look at changing any factors to improve your health for the future.
“It’s important that we take steps to protect ourselves and I would urge anyone who is eligible to book themselves an appointment. It could make a real difference.”
