Committed musician awarded scholarship
Competition for this college’s highly prestigious award was stiff, but Myrddin’s consistently high-standard of music-making on the French Horn did not fail to impress the adjudicator.
Andrew Cleary, Director of Music at Christ’s Hospital said: “We are proud to congratulate Myrddin on this fine achievement.

“He had achieved a Diploma on the Tenor Horn prior to commencing his GCSEs and since then, gained Grade 8 French Horn with distinction.
“He showed incredible commitment to a number of school music ensembles but was also committed to music out of school being a member of the National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain and since 2013, a member of the Guildhall Junior Department.
“Myrddin’s musical journey will no doubt inspire other young musicians and we always believed he would be an asset to any department.”
