Real Christmas trees can go to the household waste recycling site in Shripney Road. Alternatively, members of Arun's green club can put the tree out next to their brown bin on the next collection day.
Cllr Paul Wotherspoon, Arun's cabinet member for the environment, said: "I don't want residents to be put off recycling by news stories they have heard about some councils having problems with recycling services.
"Our recycling service continues to operate as normal and I hope residents will continue to show their commitment to recycling."
