Perhaps it was just trying to be too greedy with the Fates, but John has decided that we shall just abandon the idea of making any more hay, and fence off the grass field for the ewes for after their lambs are weaned. That way the ewes will be good, fit and well fed for tupping time.
We still have my five-year-old granddaughter Jessica with us.

Hide AdShe has learned to swim on her back '“ but unfortunately has still not completed the higher maths syllabus and Oxford entrance exam papers that were sent with us. Think they may have got lost somewhere en route to the pictures.
After Jess's swimming lesson, I have spent time in the pool with her, just messing about and, to her great delight, going down a twisting , turning water chute known as the flume. At the bottom of the slide you splash into a pool with great force, and lots of screams. I try to keep my eyes shut because of my contact lens, but unfortunately this week, ran into a problem with them.
