Nyetimber man's success in the Great South Run

Sunny skies and a carnival atmosphere led to Bognor Regis businessman Paul Down rating the 2009 Great South Run as the best he has ever competed in.

The 56-year old sales director finished Europe's biggest ten-mile race held at Southsea in a respectable time of 1hr 46min.

Within a record field of 21,000 entries last weekend, he was pleased to finish in the top half.
