Sighing at signs

I give a wry smile every time I read in your paper a report about tourism in Littlehampton (Gazette, October 17).

Before we moved to Rustington last year, we had moved to Lancing from the East Midlands after we both had retired some ten years ago, and soon discovered that the only place with a sandy beach was Littlehampton, with its East Beach.

And so we came, especially when the grandchildren were visiting us, struggling to find the route and avoid the actual town centre with its narrow, windy streets and pedestrians.
