Cavell House, in Middle Road, is currently closed to all visitors but still hopes the community can help residents as the 75th anniversary of Victory in Europe approaches.
Pictures and memorabilia from the surrounding area are sought, to help spark conversations ahead of May 8.

Hide AdNikki Stevenson, home manager, said: “Cavell House is a big part of the community and we are grateful for the fantastic support we receive from the community.
“During this period of uncertainty, we are looking for pictures of our Shoreham by Sea from years gone by, or any memorabilia we can use to aid reminiscence activities for our residents. If you’d like to help, then please email them to us, so that we can share them with our residents.”
Reminiscence activities have proven benefits, including helping to reduce symptoms of depression, improving communication skills and enhancing self-esteem.
Resident Jack Burt said: “At Cavell, we fully understand the importance of stopping our face-to-face contact with visitors to help minimise the risk of us becoming poorly.

“I’m looking forward to having my favourite tipple with my friends at Cavell care home for our ‘only residents allowed’ party.”
