Crawley Community Awards 2021: Time to hail the sporting heroes

The Awards recognise and reward those who give up their time, talents and skills to help and support others in their community and those who have trained, worked and put all their efforts into making real achievements.
Groups and individuals can be nominated across sixteen different categories representing everything from volunteering and inspiration through to education and achievement.

Hide AdNominees must either live, work, volunteer or study within the district or provide a service open to Crawley residents outside the immediate area.
Winners in the Sports Person category have come from a wide range of sporting disciplines including judo, martial arts and athletics. Last year’s winner was Karl Youngman from Storm Basketball Club.
Karl has worked to get as many younger children as possible engaged and participating with basketball.

Hide AdThe Storm Basketball Foundation has brought basketball to 22 of the 23 primary schools in Crawley and to 6 of the 7 secondary schools with sessions usually being delivered to over 1000 children on a weekly basis.
If you know a sports person who has excelled in their field or perhaps gone above and beyond in the past year to find alternative formats to keep sports going, please take the time to submit a nomination.
