More than 50 exhibitors put on a stunning display at Southwick and Fishersgate Horticultural Society's 66th autumn flower show.

Held at Southwick Community Centre on Saturday, the show included not only plants, flowers and vegetables but handmade crafts, photography, displays of floral art and a children’s section as well.

There were some lovely chrysanthemums on show. Kent Kressner won both the National Chrysanthemum Society’s silver and bronze medals, while Bruce Button won both the open and members’ sections.

The photography section was particularly well supported and the judge was impressed with the standard of entries. Malcolm Woodham was the overall winner and scooped the best photography exhibit, too.

Crafts on display included embroidery, cross stitch, paintings, knitting and jewellery. Winner of this section was Mrs M. Phillips.

Entries in the children’s section were up on previous years, with awards going to Faye English and Isla Halsy.
