The driver of a red taxi which drove along Franklyn Road at around 11.30pm may be able to provide useful information for the investigation. The victim, a 47-year-old woman, was walking on Franklyn Road near to the Sussex Road roundabout shortly after 11.30pm when she was approached by a man. He grabbed at her coat and then put his hand down her trousers. She screamed and the man ran away. Detective Constable Jon Robeson said: “The man is described as white, in his late 20s with short curly blond hair. Anyone with information is asked to email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or phone 101, quoting serial 1338 of 07/12. Alternatively they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers free and anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
