‘Multi vehicle crash’ partially closes A27

The AA said the road is closed eastbound while police investigate the incident from B2123 The Drove (Falmer / Rottingdean Junction) to A277 Brighton Road (Ashcombe Roundabout).

The crash happened around 11.30pm on April 30, a spokesman added.

Sussex Police said: “We are in attendance at a Road Traffic Collision on the A27 between Falmer and the Ashcombe Roundabout. The eastbound carriageway remains closed however the Westbound carriageway has since re-opened.

“We are advising motorists to avoid the area and seek an alternative route.”
