Village’s renovated clock chimes again
The Victorian-era clock at St John the Baptist CofE Primary School in School Hill, Findon, has undergone a major renovation at a cost of more than £7,000.
Ten-year-old student Oliver Stibbs first took an interest in the clock last year, when a teacher at the school mentioned it used to be one of only six working Victorian clocks in the country. Oliver noticed scaffolding had been around the clock for some time and decided to ask the school’s head teacher, Richard Yelland, what could be done to fix it.
