Woman with wrench arrested in Crawley town centre

Police were called to reports of a distressed person in possession of a weapon in Queens Square at 10.36am on Sunday (April 3).
A police spokesman said: “A 29-year-old woman from Crawley was arrested in nearby Memorial Gardens on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon in a public place and released without charge. She was detained under the Mental Health Act.

“Located and arrested without incident.”
