Worthing Hospital penguins are ready for winter

The popular penguin statues in the hospital grounds have been dressed in knitted bobble hats and umbrellas, set for the winter chill.
The items were made by Storm Ministries, a Worthing-based charity and voluntary group.

Hide AdLeader Ginny Tassell said the novel idea was a light-hearted way to bring a bit of fun to the hospital. “We dress the penguins about three or four times a year,” said Ginny.
“We do it as the seasons change.
“I have a little group of amazing knitters and we do knitting for the gardens around the town. A lot of people who have to go to the hospital quite regularly tell us the feature makes them smile so that is the point really.”
The penguins will be re-dressed in December, becoming popular Christmas characters for the festive season.
