All the president's men celebrate 50 years at Aldwick
In between the showers, some cricket was played but for much of the time, guests were huddled together in a marquee watching a tennis final.

Constant showers made the outfield too dangerous even for a gentle friendly but not before Ian Guppy had hit a huge six from the first ball, Mike Hawkins (2-14) had regained his wicket-taking ways, president’s skipper Keith Jeffries had bowled a wonder ball to get a wicket, and Brian Barnard hooked a mighty six with a ball unintentionally aimed at his head.
The day finished with enjoyable reminisces and congratulations to John Heredge and treasurer Mick Fredricks, both celebrating 50 years with the club this year.
