Joe Calzaghe proves a legend in Bognor

It was hosted by NM Sussex Promotions and featured a champagne welcome, meet and greet with pictures, autographs, Q&A with the champ and a special sports memorabilia auction to raise money for the charity.
Calzaghe is one of the country’s best-ever pound-for-pound fighters, having retired with an undefeated record of 46-0 and as a reigning world champion. He beat the very best of his era, like Chris Eubank, Bernard Hopkins and Roy Jones junior.

Hide AdThe Welshman competed from 1993 to 2008. He held the WBA, WBC, IBF, WBO, Ring magazine and lineal super-middleweight titles, as well as the Ring light-heavyweight title.
NM Sussex Promotions is run by Nick Riley and Mick Morris, who both put a lot of effort into organising Calzaghe’s visit.
Calzaghe took time to meet the young people who train at Riley’s Boxing Club, Fighting Fit, which was fantastic for the local young aspiring fighters
The event raised money for the the Sussex Snowdrop Trust.
