Colts honoured at highest level
Junior co-ordinator Winchester was one of the guests at a special lunch at Lord's organised by the English Cricket Board to honour those people who have done so much to promote the game in 2003. He also received a certificate signed by ECB chairman David Morgan and chief executive Tim Lamb.
Since being set up the colts section at Little Common has gone from strength to strength and by the end of the campaign its numbers had reached a very healthy 45 players which meant they could run two teams. One of them went on to reach the final of the Sussex under-11 Cricket Festival and finished as runners-up in the league.

Hide AdWinchester, who has taken various roles at Little Common including chairman, treasurer and first team captain and vice-captain, said: "It was a club effort. I accept the award on behalf of the club. There are so many members who have helped out - as many as 10 which is a lot. I think the award is a tribute to the club as a whole."
The colts hold indoor training at Bexhill Leisure Centre on Sundays from 7-8.30pm.
