Hurst U15s win Sussex T20 competition
Hurst captain Joe Gilligan along with Ed Fairfax and Tom Haines (top scorer with 42) each put in good work with the bat for Hurst to make 127 for 3. The team’s strategy of taking the wickets of Ardingly’s major batsmen quickly paid off and they were all out for 109, thus securing the victory for Hurst by 18 runs. Pick of the Hurst bowlers were Joe Seaton and Alex Copeland who took 3 wickets apiece.
Hurst cricket across the board continues its current revitalisation and Nick Creed, Head of Cricket, is confident that this young team will continue to play to a very high standard as they progress through the school.
With a number of players in the Sussex CCC Academy and the Emerging Players Programme, the future is looking bright for cricket at Hurst.
