Busy time at United as several new faces arrive
Jason Rutherford and Lloyd Saunders took over at the Lyons Way club in the summer and the County League constitution revealed on Thursday that United will stay in Division 1, despite finishing bottom of the table last season.
The new joint managers have been busy recruiting new faces into the club and Rutherford has been pleased with how things have gone so far.

Dean Gilmour, Tom Donnelly and Jamie McLeod all remain from last season’s squad and United have started pre-season well with victories over Burgess Hill (2-0) and Moneyfields (4-0).
Rutherford said: “Things are going well and shaping up nicely. I’d just like to get two or three more quality players in and then I think we can have a good season.
“The highest that the club has ever finished is fifth from bottom in Division 1, so we’ll be looking to better that and then see what happens.”
