Ore go it alone in county cup
The quarter-final on Saturday, not surprisingly, was a tense affair with both teams having chances before the break that were not taken.
Jamal Bsharah opened the scoring for Athletic only for Gary Bryant to equalise. Extra time looked on the cards until Terry Payne hit the winner with virtually the last kick of the game to break Sports’ hearts.

Hide AdAthletic will now play Forest reserves, who beat Village of Ditchling 3-2, in the semi-finals on March 3.
Two other local league teams were hoping to progress into the last four but both came up just short.
Crowhurst went down 3-1 at home to Wittering United despite Mike Taylor giving them the lead early in the second half. The Crows also hit the crossbar.
Goals from Rob Guille and Darren Nicol were not quite enough for Ticehurst as a very strong Ovingdean side, with a sprinkling of ex-County League players, ran out 5-2 winners.
